Ben Folds Five reform for new album,
spring release
Ben
Folds Five have confirmed their reunion with a post on Twitter
showing the band together in the studio. The group broke up in 2000
before frontman Folds embarked on a solo career, but he hinted last
September that the group may record a follow-up to 1999's The
Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner.
In a post on Twitter, Folds said: "It's happening fo sho - Day 1 in
studio with Robert and Darren through March #NewBenFoldsFiveRecord."
He then posted a photograph of himself behind a piano together with
his bandmates Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee. Asked when fans would
be able to hear the new material, Folds replied: "Spring release."
