Noel Gallagher To Appear In Court
When Attacker Is Sentenced
Noel
Gallagher will be appearing in court when his attacker
is sentenced. The former Oasis rocker was shoved off
stage by 48-year-old Danny Sullivan on September 7, 2008
during the band's performance at the V Festival in
Toronto, Canada. Noel was left with three broken ribs
and several Oasis concerts following the show had to be
cancelled.
Sullivan pleaded guilty to the assault in November last
year and is awaiting sentencing. Now it's emerged that
Gallagher has personally requested to be in court when
he is handed his punishment.
Although defence lawyer asked for Noel's request to be
turned down so that he could now "control the
proceedings", the guitarist will now be able to attend.
The sentencing was postponed until a later date - one
which Noel can make.
