Ex-Incubus DJ ordered to surrender
firearms after row with current band member
Incubus'
current DJ Chris Kilmore has been granted a three-year
restraining order against the DJ he replaced in the band
in 1998, Gavin Koppel. Koppel is alleged to have
approached Kilmore in a Los Angeles shop on December 28
and threatened to kill him unless he dropped a previous
restraining order that had been obtained in 2003.
Kilmore was allegedly told by Koppel: "You will get
killed if you don't lift that order... people get killed
in the street for that." He is also reported to have
tried to fight him. After Kilmore reported the December
incident to police, Koppel has been ordered to "turn in
or sell guns or firearms, if any, to a licenced gun
dealer or turn in to police". He must also stay at least
100 yards away from Kilmore and his girlfriend and must
not contact either of them via phone or email.
Kilmore obtained the 2003 restraining order after Koppel
spat in his face. Koppel was sacked by Incubus in 1998.
